Egg whites. They make a great breakfast, don't they? They also make for a beneficial skin care ingredient. DIY skin care recipes often include the old tried & true egg white face mask. I remember making it as a teen to help absorb oil.
I have never tried an egg white soap -- that is until Arice at Humboldt Soap Company sent me a bar to try. I used to love bar cleansers. The past couple of years, though, I have switched over to a creamy cleanser. This product has changed my mind.
I cannot picture myself using another face cleanser -- creamy, gel, bar or otherwise.
The ingredients are stellar, ladies! Crushed grape seeds provide gentle and effective exfoliation, which egg white absorb oil & tighten the skin.
Argan oil, avocado oil and coconut oil are also in this bar. It is a little bar of magic.
Don't get it in your eyes. As with any bar cleanser, it will sting if you get it in your eyes. I use an eye makeup remover to gently lift off my mascara and eye shadow and then I cleanse my face with this bar.
I follow with Dickinson's Witch Hazel.
Now, I have to dish. I have a confession. You know I can be a harsh critic sometimes. I just speak my mind. And when it comes to face creams, I am even tougher when I am reviewing them.
I have NOT used a Goat's Milk face cream that I have liked since 2009. That was my own. If you have been a long-time reader, you will remember that I used to have a skin care line of my own. It was featured in multiple publications, including Martha Stewart Body + Soul back in 2008.
When I closed my business 6 years ago, I stopped making the cream. I ran out of my last jar by the end of 2009 and have since been using blog samples and items I have purchased at the store or have been given as my freelancer gratis. I have tried other goat's milk creams, but none have -- in my mind -- measured up.
Until now. And this one is ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY SPLENDID! It is amazing and I love it!
The product is called Cremeplexion Face Creme. It is just $15 for a 2 ounce jar and it is better than ANY face cream I have been sent to review. It is a little jar of awesomesauce.
How good is this moisturizer? Well, in eight years of blogging, I have NEVER done a vlog. I have a You Tube account, but have never taken the time to figure it out. I created an account 4 years ago with the intention of adding video reviews to the blog, but just have not taken that step. This product is so lovely that I have stepped out of my comfort zone to do a video review.
This will be the first of many. We will look back one day and laugh -- I was nervous and said "Um" about 34 times and had trouble showing viewers the cream while holding my phone. Don't worry--I will work on being more savvy.
Without further adieu, HERE is my review of Cremeplexion:
