Happy Thursday, my friends! I want to tell you about a fabulous event called The Color Run, which will be happening May 4th at Frontier Field in Rochester.
Unfamiliar with the Color Run? Here are some details:
This special 5K run/walk benefits Teens Living with Cancer. Here is some info about the organization from the Color Run website:
"Teens Living with Cancer (TLC) is the peer support program of Melissa’s Living Legacy Teen Cancer Foundation. Founded in 2001, the organization was one mom’s answer to a challenge posed by her 19 year-old daughter days before she died. Asked to use what she had learned “to make a difference – to make things better”, founder Lauren Spiker established the non-profit with a mission to help teens live their best lives during and after cancer. The small grassroots organization, now a nationally respected provider of psychosocial support for teens with cancer, has TLC chapters in Rochester and Buffalo, NY."
