You may have been hearing more and more about Resveratrol lately. Today I'd like to briefly explain what it is and recommend some of my favorite products containing this fabulous ingredient.

Resveratrol is a natural phenol.  Resveratrol is a substance found in red wine that is high in antioxidants. By adding antioxidants to your diet, you have the ability to encourage good cell health, which keeps your cells young! Foods containing phenols are cherries, grapes, plums, berries, artichokes, potatoes, and even celery & lettuce to a lesser extent. In addition to being helpful to the skin and to combat signs of aging, phenols have been shown to help improve heart health and protect the body from some forms of cancer and stroke.

You'll often hear people talking about the phenols in red wine. That is where Resveratrol comes in. Resveratrol is a compound found in red wine that is high in antioxidants. It comes from the skin of the grapes & contains potent antioxidants.  By adding antioxidants to your diet, you have the ability to encourage good cell health, which keeps your cells young!
