Beauty Review: A Great Local Company!

Thursday, November 3, 2011

I'd like to tell you about Noella Beauty Works, a small home-based business in the city of Rochester.

I recently stumbled upon this business while browsing one of my most favorite websites, Etsy. I was impressed by the seller's photos and clicked on the makeup to read more.  Much to my pleasant surprise, I discovered that she is Rochester-based.

I was about out of my Everyday Minerals Finishing Dust and decided to try a new finishing powder to set my makeup. I've been using my 100% Pure Tinted Moisturizer (in White Peach) the past couple weeks again since my skin is getting dry. I decided to order the Finishing Touch Setting Veil in the light shade called Pearl. I've been using this now all week and I am so happy to have found this company.

I love the texture of this powder and the translucent shade is perfect for me.  I have used this over both tinted moisturizer and mineral foundation and was impressed used over both formulations.

The cost was $13.99 for the large and you need just a touch of product each application.  Quality-wise, I find this formulation superior to finishing powders from Bare Escentuals and Alima Pure. I think I just may like this one even more than my Everyday Minerals Finishing Dust, too.  In fact, that one is great for me when I am more oily in the summer, but this one is perfect for me now.

I do not have to re-touch at all during the day and it applies beautifully with my Eco Tools Bamboo Powder Brush.

I'm really eager to try some other products from Noella Beauty Works. Here are some items on my wish list:

Dark Crystal eye shadow
$4.99

Acai matte eye shadow
$4.99

Raspberry Sugar blush (large pot)
$13.99
