{You're Invited}

I try to keep C & G separate from my business and other blog, but they're both big parts of who I am, so sometimes they collide/cross paths.

I just wanted to let all of my locals know that there will be a Loubird Handmade Trunk Show on Saturday, January 29th from 12pm to 3:30pm.

It's only fitting that it would be scheduled for this day. The 6th anniversary of my dad's passing is also that day and Loubird was named after Dad. When I chose the name for my jewelry line on December 31, 2009, I knew I'd picked the right name right off the bat. One of my dad's best friends on this earth called him "Lou bird". I really think that Dad would be happy that I am doing something I love to do and that it's been named after him. I also think he'd be happy to know that a portion of my profits have been donated to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, something I plan to continue doing.

My business officially opened January 17, 2010. It's been almost a year and I have loved every moment of this journey!

Back to the topic at hand--this amazing Trunk Show! You are all invited to attend an afternoon of shopping and fun at Vintage Bliss in Webster, New York. I will have my entire jewelry line there that day, including dozens of pieces not yet listed on my website. I will have something for everyone--from bottle cap necklaces to French Chic charm necklaces, bracelets, earrings made with vintage gemstones and more.
