DIY Thursday: Dreamland Pillow Mist

Thursday, November 12, 2009

So I admit. I am not quite ready to part with the recipe for my Dreamland Sleep Balm. There are just some recipes too close to my heart to share, I suppose. I am super excited to share this one with you, though, and it is my Dreamland Pillow Mist.

I believe wholeheartedly in the benefits of aromatherapy, and this one is a favorite. It's truly a staple in this house, and an item I frequently give as a gift.

This mist is ideal for spritzing on your pillows and sheets, but it also makes a nice room spray while you're bathing, feeling stressed, or just want to feel a bit zen.

This exclusive blend will help ease tension and make you feel more relaxed. I called my aromatherapy line Dreamlandbecause I wanted it to make people feel as though they were headed to dreamland once the day's worries had passed.

Here is the recipe:

2 ounces of distilled water
2 ounces of witch hazel hydrosol/distillate (this is alcohol free)
3 drops Balsam Fir Needle essential oil (or cedarwood)

Combine in a bottle. This makes just over 4 ounces. You can divide it into 1 ounce or 2 ounce bottles with misting spray tops to give as stocking stuffers, too!

Enjoy...and be well rested!
