Shop Local: Green Acre Farm

Thursday, October 8, 2009

Ben and I took a short drive to the neighboring suburb of Greece today. We stopped at Green Acre Farm to get some cider and fresh donuts. We're headed back in a couple days for some apple picking. They also have a great corn maze. Last year we were lost in the maze for 45 minutes!

They bake their donuts on the premises each day and if you can get a warm one, they are so yummy! Ben's is on the left and mine is on the right. Nick has one waiting for him after school.

60 cents each

We love Apple Cider in the fall! At Green Acre Farm in Greece (on Latta road. Take a left off of Long Pond to get there), you can watch them press the apples and make cider right before your eyes. Ben and I stood and watched this afternoon. We then picked up our own gallon of super fresh and natural cider. Of all the cider places we have tried in the Rochester area, this is my favorite.

$3.45 per gallon
