A Small PSA from C&G

Over the past few years, I have been very vocal about my support for a wonderful charity, The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Beginning in 2006, I started hosting fundraising events through my business and am proud to have raised quite a bit of money over the years in my dad's memory. Dad died of this disease when he was 56.

As you know, Patrick Swayze passed away yesterday after a valiant battle against a horrible foe--pancreatic cancer. There has been much more in the media lately about this disease because of people like Randy Pausch and Patrick Swayze. Michael Landon also died of Pancreatic Cancer. So much more needs to be done to find a cure.

I can tell you from watching my father battle this opponent, that this is a horrible and painful disease. It is also grossly underfunded when it comes to research dollars.

I am making a request that if you find yourself with some extra money or rather than buying a new bag or pair of jeans that you maybe consider donating money or time or a mention to this worthy foundation. They donate 100% of each and every donation right to research--that's rare.

If you'd like to learn more about their Cure PC campaign or about pancreatic cancer, please visit their site.

Thank you so much!
