Early morning shopping

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

I made an early morning purchase from my favorite scrub maker: Sue at Mad City Soap (aka Mad City Sue on Etsy).

If you are a regular reader, you'll know that I think her Whipped Sugar Body Scrub is the best non-foaming scrub on the planet. I saw this morning while browsing that this scrub now is scrubbier with Turbinado Sugar (Sugar in the Raw).

The new scent I am trying is Island Goddess Cupcake. It's a blend of coconut, vanilla cupcakes, pineapple and a splash of rum. This scent really sounds great because I will be able to use this with my In a Lather Shampoo That Rocks in Thai Coconut. I think this may also layer well with Jojoelle Cremasse, which I have in both a Eau de Parfum and a lotion, as it is a creamy scent with rum.

Sue's scrub is fabulous for those with dry arms and legs! Your skin will glisten nicely and you can even go without a moisturizer after using it, which is great if you're in a hurry.

I've tried so many scents in these scrubs. I was planning to get Red Velvet Cake, which I bought for my mom and she just loves, or my old standby--a combo of Lemon Meringue and Italian Cream Cake.

If you haven't tired Sue's scrubs, what are you waiting for? Her customer service is equally as great as this scrub, which is another bonus.

UPDATE: I ordered this morning and have already received a shipping notice! Sue is incredible!
