"Miles"

"Saved"

Rochestarian Rachael Buffington is a local artist with a shop on Etsy. Her shop is full of her unique artwork and paper dolls.

You can tell just by looking at the description of the jointed paper dolls that the artist is funny and witty. Miles, the paper doll in the top picture, is described by as the "Hamptons version of a paper doll, he wears loafers and is suntanned and relaxed. He is unaware of his privilege but a generally pleasing fella to be around."

She gives life to the paper dolls because of their descriptions.

You'll also find original artwork, from watercolor to collage. Her painting "Saved" actually was a piece she found in a scrap heap. She used watercolors and some acrylic paint and turned the piece into her own.

Head right over to Balduffington on Etsy today and tell her Chic & Green sent you.

If you live in the Rochester area, Rachael will have her dolls at Spot Coffee tomorrow, Sunday February 8th, from 5 to 10 pm.
