ETSY LOVE: Peanut Tree Designs

My friend Deanna pointed me in the direction of Peanut Tree Designs, a Detroit-based Etsy shop. Deanna, who resides in that area, always knows the great Indie businesses in the area and she happened to think I would like what Peanut Tree offers. She was right, of course.

I love the whole vibe of this Etsy shop. Everything is designed for the chic & green mama.

A signature store item is the handmade bottle cover. As you know, plastic baby bottles can leech chemicals (specifically BPA) into baby's drink. More and more people are turning to glass, but glass baby bottles can be a bit inconvenient. The bottle covers at Peanut Tree are crocheted, help cushion the glass from falls and also absorb spills.

I am plotting an order from this shop right now for two types of items I know would be used regularly in the house: the organic terry washcloths and the hot/cold packs.

Washcloths can be so harsh on delicate skin. I only use baby washcloths on my own skin, and the boys' washcloths are baby cloths as well. The handmade washcloths in this store, though, are beautiful and functional. Retro fabrics are used, and these 100% cotton washcloths feature organic terry on the reverse side. I plan to order a set of 3 ($6.50) for us.

The 100% cotton hot and cold packs are versatile. They are filled with organic flax seed. If you are a mom to boys, you know how often they end up with bumps and bruises. These packs are lovely to look at and, when chilled, will help soothe a bump on the noggin. The item description also says these can be used as sachets or on the eyes. These little gems are $3.50 each.

For a great eco-friendly shop for the trendy mom, head right on over to  Peanut Tree Designs today!

Thank you to Deanna for telling me about this great shop.
