Christmas Shopping is Finished...but more ideas for you!

I was telling a friend the other day that I need to go back a a simpler time, a time when I didn't "get" how to use the internet...you know back to the early 1990s when my friend told me that to use email, all I had to do was speak into the speaker on the computer monitor and literally talk to the person whose email address I had just typed in... True story

The internet is such a wonderful thing. On one hand, I didn't have to battle any crowds on Friday to get "early birds". That was easily done online. Plus, I have been able to get so many Christmas presents right here via my computer-from some really great Indie businesses. The caveat for me is that when I find great things to give as gifts, I undoubtedly find something for me.

What is fantabulous, though, is that I have found some great bargains! Some sales are still going on, so if you need some gifts, here are some ideas:

Starring...! Fragrances had 40% all orders over $25 until December 1st. I was able to get 6 organic perfumes for under $30 this way. Some from the 6 piece set will be for me, others will be part of my gift baskets for friends and family. Here are the scents I ordered: Blonde Bombshell, How Does Your Gardenia Grow, ImPeached. The Princess, The Bouquet, and Snowy Egret.

For some reason, I have been lemming some gardenia scents...probably because I have been using my Luxury Treatment Oil so much (with Monoi de Tahiti oil).

Bathed and Infused is also having a wonderful holiday sale. Shipping is a flat rate $4 right now, plus most items are 35% off. I ordered a gift set in a wildy popular but new to me scent called The Pin Up. I got some items in Pink Champagne, Margarita, and Sake for my sister in law, Elaine. I'm on a mini quest to have items handmade in Colorado in her basket since she lives there, and Bathed and Infused fits the bill.

Aunt Nancy's Handmade Soaps had a wonderful 3/$10 Black Friday sale, so I reordered some favorites including her wonderful Pink Peppermint.

The Coconut Hut also has a great offer--3 body products up to 4 ounces for $23. I ordered The Big Kahuna Body Butter in White Chocolate Dream, as well as Surf's Up Body Wash and Beach Baby Perfume both in her scent called Abominable Snowman. This gift set is mine. With all of the newspaper publicity over the past few weeks, my local business has gone up over 500%. That is incredible to me. Between that and Etsy, I have been working my rear end off and deserve a treat! This one is mine, all mine, and won't be used as a gift.

I am coming full circle with this one--The Coconut Hut was my first order of 2008 for Indie etailers and it is going to be my last for anything but edible gifts for others because I am DONE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! Woo hoo!
