Order Update: Bissy's Boutique perfumes

Friday, October 17, 2008

I have to mention that I received my order today from Bissy's Boutique which I placed earlier this week. She is having a fantastic Eau de Parfum sale: 2 bottles (0.5 ounce sprays) for $12. Shipping is included in this price.

The two scents I ordered are Chocolate Cream Cheese Cupcakes and Iced Pumpkin.

I am going to let them both cure for a week or two. For those of you who are new to the Indie etailer world, "curing" is when you essentially put the scents away and forget about them for a while. For me, it is a dark cabinet. Curing allows the fragrance oils to reach their full scent potential in the base they're in, whether it be a perfume base or blended into a lotion or oil.

Both smell pretty nice--well worth the $6 each including shipping--but will benefit from curing.
If you've ever placed an order and haven't loved the scent right off the bat, put the products away and bring them back out in a week or two. Chances are that you'll be so much happier! This is true with scented scrubs and other goodies. Don't be discouraged if you order something that seems weak or not quite what you expected! In most cases, curing will "cure" the problem!
