Forever on the hunt...

I have been looking for my holy grail mascara for about 15 years now.

The first one I ever bought was Maybelline Great Lash. I thought I was using it wrong because it never worked well on me and all the "experts" said it was the best.

I tried every mascara a high school and college student could afford...then I found Lancome Definicils when I was freelancing for them in college. That was great for me....

I have VERY long lashes, long and thick, but pretty fair. I need color definition and a little drama to add some va-va voom to my mommy routine.

Through the years I have used YSL and Christian Dior, Chanel, Cargo, Smashbox, Bare Escentuals--so many mascaras. The Faux Cils, which is supposed to be la creme de la creme actually made my eyes burn.

I found my holy grail in RIMMEL EXTRA SUPER LASH, but alas, I discovered they test on animals, so I refuse to use it, even if it made my eyes look smokin'.

So, I am forever on the hunt. I stopped writing down the ones have I tried, and I stopped my documentation at #40.

I know I have tried more than that...

I have to say, though...Maybelline Great Lash is NOT great! As someone who has been a professional makeup artist and who knows many makeup artists, we all agree that it is sub-par. The only people this is good for is people who do NOT want definition or lengthening, and those who don't mind smudging.

I have a mascara I would give an A- to and I have been wearing it on and off since it debuted: AVON DARING CURVES MASCRA. It is great. Not perfect, but will suffice as my quest continues!

If you have any recommendations, I am eager to try some others!
